One Month Old

 Baby Girl is ONE MONTH OLD!

Biggest challenge....being motivated to keep up on household chores 

b/c I would rather be loving on her! 

Everyone says she looks like Little Man....

I think she looks like Sister #2 when she was a babe.

She looks very serious most of the time.

I think she is still trying to figure this crazy family out.

She spends about half the day wrapped up and attached to me.
It seems to be her favorite place to be.  (And I love it too!)

I can't wait for the smiles that should be headed our way in the next couple of weeks.

She is just perfect!!

Not sure how to name this post.....

Any suggestions??

Dance

Big Sis had her recital this last weekend.  She did a great job!

She does not look like my "Little Girl" with all that make-up on.

She LOVES the "dark" make-up requirement for show day.
Me....not so much.

3 Weeks Old

Baby girl is already 3 weeks old.  

I wish I could sit and stare at her all day.  

I have such a crush on her!

Here is what is going on

She is waking more in the night than last week...but still sleeping very well.  

She loves to suck.  

She wants her thumb SO BAD.  

To satisfy my Mom I have tried to encourage the pacifier instead....

But, I am not as passionate as mom....so the thumb may win over.

She is having more awake time.  

She does not like to take a bath.

Like her older siblings, she has two friends that she LOVES to stare at.  

(It cracks me up how much new babies love these type of pictures.)

As for me....

I'm tired.  

I'm hormonal.  

I have been crying daily.  

I want to shake myself and yell:  SERIOUSLY GET A GRIP....

but when I am in the midst of the moment I don't seem to be thinking straight.  

I'm not depressed...just pooped. (I promise!)

I obviously am not used to the sleep deprivation yet.  

I even cried to the sweet person that brought our meal a few days ago.  

She must have thought...WHAT A MESS....GOOD THING I AM FEEDING HER FAMILY.  

I'm still LOVING the meals being delivered.  Such a blessing!

We are still getting the sweetest gifts.  

The little clothes.....Oh, it's going to be so fun to dress her!

And the monogramed items....I just love her little initials.  

So many people are checking in with me and being so supportive.  

I really feel like we have an amazing family here in the South.  

Wow...next weeks update...she will be a MONTH OLD!

My little mouse...

Today was the last day of 3K preschool.  All of the kids dressed up as their favorite nursery rhyme.  Little Man was the mouse from Hickory, Dickory, Dock.  

The class put on a little presentation.  

It was very sweet!

I don't look near as tired as I feel.  Mary Kay makes a good concealer!  

I can't believe preschool is over for the year.  

Gotta admit....I'm a little nervous!  (or a lot)

How will I keep this busy boy out of trouble this summer and still keep my mind???

A party for my new little "Southern Bell"

My sweet, sweet friend Kathy was so excited to throw a "Sip and See" for our new little girl.  It was wonderful and she threw it in Southern Style.....monograms included!  I didn't take many pictures...but here are a few of the beautiful decor!

2 weeks old

 I'm a few days behind but baby girl is already 2 weeks old!!  

At her weight check visit she was 6 lbs 5 oz.  

She is starting to give us more awake time.  I LOVE her dark eyes!

She has her days and nights completely figured out and she is sleeping great.  

(Hoping that this is a pattern and not just a fluke!)

She stretches her feedings out to about every 3-5 hours 

(Which is SO DIFFERENT from my other children.) 

We are finally getting the nursing thing figured out. 

I love that she already knows her Mommy!  

Big Brother

I have to admit....I was a little worried about how Little Man was going to handle a new baby.  

He's a very, very active little guy and he demands a lot of attention.  

He's not really the "nurturing type".  He's more of an action figure.  

I just was not sure what to expect.  

I have been pleasantly surprised on his love for Baby Girl.  

Daddy's "pep talk" about protecting her made a huge impression.  

He loves her!!

First Bath

People all around us have been showering our family with love.  

It's been so wonderful. 

My girlfriend, Kathy, set up a meal train and for the WHOLE month of May we have meals being delivered every other night.

  

We are eating well around here!

Gotta love Southern Hospitality!
