Baby Girl is 4 Months!!

I wish I would have more pictures on here.  I'm not doing as good of a job recording her early days as I did her big brother.  I don't pick up the camera as much as I would like.  Hopefully that will change once Big Brother is in school and I have some more "baby time".

She had her 4 month appointment today.

Stats
Weight:  11lbs. 7oz.  (5%)
Height:  23.75"  (25%)
Head:  16.25"  (50%)

So....little body, big head

It's more head for me to kiss!

Funny

Little Man and I were just cracking up when I showed him the picture in the last post.

Update...

Thanks to my Mamma friends who have sent notes of support and let me know that I am not alone in my sinking ship :)  I also got a few calls of concern from my loved ones.  I am here to assure you that I am going to be OKAY!  But....I'm not going to lie, this is hard.  I'm out of my comfort zone.  I am challenged constantly.  The transition from 3-4 has not be smooth.  This is something new to me.
-The piles of papers coming home from school
-The child that wants to nurse around the clock b/c I "think" she is having a growth spirt
(Meanwhile trying to keep another child from burning the house down)
-The demands of my challenging child while baby is screaming
-Keeping the peace between boy vs. older girls
While....cooking, picking up, laundry for 6, and making time for God and my friends.
I'm pooped.....really, really pooped!
But, this is a season and I will survive.
And I'm pooped....b/c I'm blessed!
Gotta go, Jonah screamed at me b/c his play-do creation got messed up so the catnap is over.
Baby calls.....

Fly in....fly out

We had a special guest for the day.
Papa was able to jump in on a flight from Illinois to the Carolinas.
He was only here from 9-5, but we filled it with fun.

sinking ship

I feel like I should post a picture of a sinking ship and call the picture: Nicole. That is a good visual on how I have felt a lot lately.

YES I love being a mother and YES I chose this life. This really is a very good life. And YES God chose me to be Little Man's mommy. (He obviously has more faith in me than I have in myself.) I have been a mother for over 10 years, but I don't have a clue what I'm doing with him. I don't know what makes him tick. He makes me soooo tired!

So right now I am starting from scratch. Clean slate. New goals...new ways...and a few new rules. Please pray for Little Man and me.

Wow.....5th grade!

I wrote a facebook message last week to my favorite teacher, Mr. Jacobs.
It said, "I just registered my oldest for 5th grade. It was my favorite year!"
I can't believe we have a 5th grader.
I remember 5th grade.
Her Daddy is also in shock.
He remembers 5th grade too.

Along with a 5th grader we also have a 2nd grader!
We moved to the South when her big sister was in 2nd grade.
Time is flying!

Little Man was slightly upset that he could not start school today.
He will be starting after Labor Day.
He's going to miss tormenting those girls EVERYDAY.

Goodbye Summer!  I hope to appreciate you more next year.

What we have been up to

Here's a quick recap of the last two weeks....
-Papa and Grandma were here.
-I surprised the kids with a visit to the Krispy Kreme to see the whole assembly line and eat them fresh off the belt.  (This was our first visit to a location where you can watch the whole process.)  YUMMY!!!!
-We went bowling with our pals.
and
-We went on a short trip to go see our favorite people in North Carolina!

Perfect ending to this summer.  School starts this week.  Can you hear my cheers?

Oh Canada....

We were blessed with a business trip to the beautiful Victoria, BC.
I think the pictures say it all!

Baby girl tagged along.
She and another little one (who was 7 weeks old) needed childcare.
My mom was up for the challenge.
My attached daughter ended up being the challenge!
