I guess I forgot to share the good news.....

We will be staying in the South for a few more years!

This week my husband started a new position for CPS.  His new position is a regional one.  That means I will be doing some single parenting here and there.  He will be covering a territory from Georgia to Maine.  I am very proud of him and we are excited about this new challenge.  I survived his first trip to New York this week so......so far, so good!  It will be weird not picking up and moving....I've come accustom to it......but it's not a bad place if I HAVE to stay :)

What a week!!

It's been a week.  The last 7 days have brought out some emotions in me that I have not tuned into for a while.  In the last 7 days I have felt deep sadness, anger, embarrassment, overwhelming joy, and a huge amount of pride.  Now, I know that sitting here for hours and typing out all the things that happened this week would not do any of us any good.  So, I am going to tell you what I am feeling right now.......

I surrender!

I'm in your hands, Lord!

Pop!

Today we were out a birthday party for a boy in our neighborhood.
The kids were sitting down to pizza and pitchers of Coke.

My sweet 1st grader:  This fizzy stuff is good!  What is it?
My 4th grader in disbelief:  POP!

I was CRACKING UP!  Yes....my 6 year old has never had Coca Cola!

The gig is up!

I asked the mother what other horrible things she is going to expose my child too?
Everyone got a good laugh out of it!

My First Grader

My Fourth Grader

And the Little Guy that is still home with me!

Lord, Please look over my girls as they enter this new time.  Please help them to do your work inside the school and in the hearts of those that don't know you.  Thank you for my precious children!

Almost Wordless Wednesday

My Loves were driving me crazy....

It was raining and they were stir crazy.....

I finally yelled, "GO OUTSIDE!"

They were shocked.... Their mother does not let them do such a thing....

But they didn't want me to change my mind, so they jumped at the chance....

To play in the rain!

Our trip would not have been possible without.....

Grandma!!
We loved having her here!

Ahhhh....time away!

My husband had a business meeting in Asheville, NC.
"Unfortunately" I had to go along.  Those darn meetings.
This was the vie out of our hotel window as the fog lifted out of the mountains.
I was a happy girl!

We stayed in an AMAZING hotel.
Full of history.....and the 13th best spa in the world!
(They were doing some repairs....so it's not the best picture.)

From the second I walked in, I was in awe!

The great room was SO GRAND!  There were MASSIVE fireplaces on each side.

How big is that fire place??  It was HUGE!  I could just imagine the gorgeous fires during the winter.
Hmmmm.....maybe I need to go back there to ACTUALLY see them so I can tell you about it!

We spent one day in downtown Asheville.  It was very fun, artsy....right up our alley.
Hubby was drooling over the furniture and dreaming of getting his hands on some tools.
We then spent some time at this AMAZING home.
YES....HOME....called The Biltmore.

There was so much to see.....

We were not allowed to take pictures inside....so that is all you get.
But the inside was 10 times better than the outside!

Overall....the trip was a 10!
We were mistaken twice for a couple that have not yet ventured into parenthood.
We were flirting like kids again.
Darn those business trips!
