Labor Day Weekend

Pool Fun

Starting out with some moves with a noodle.....
I'm not sure what he was thinking, but he thought he was cool!

Then the noodle fights started.....

Not everyone was interested in a fight......

Fun with Daddy....

I'm a lucky girl!

And there is never just an uneventful outing.......
Here is Little Man after his face-plant in the mulch on the playground.....

More to come....

Off to school

I remember oldest sister's first day of preschool.  I cried and cried.....I felt like I was sending her off to to the wolves.  I had kept her in a bubble and it was time for the bubble to pop.  I was crushed.

Then middle sister went to preschool....  My eyes got a little teary as I said good-bye.
I had done it before and I knew she would be okay.

Today little man headed off.  He didn't even say goodbye to me.  He was off and as happy as a clam.
I think I even smiled as he was walking away.
Tears.......none.
Love that little guy....but he is one of those wolves.
I hope the first time mothers of innocent little girls won't hate me!
I know he is going to have a great year!

Check out my boy!

I guess I forgot to share the good news.....

We will be staying in the South for a few more years!

This week my husband started a new position for CPS.  His new position is a regional one.  That means I will be doing some single parenting here and there.  He will be covering a territory from Georgia to Maine.  I am very proud of him and we are excited about this new challenge.  I survived his first trip to New York this week so......so far, so good!  It will be weird not picking up and moving....I've come accustom to it......but it's not a bad place if I HAVE to stay :)

What a week!!

It's been a week.  The last 7 days have brought out some emotions in me that I have not tuned into for a while.  In the last 7 days I have felt deep sadness, anger, embarrassment, overwhelming joy, and a huge amount of pride.  Now, I know that sitting here for hours and typing out all the things that happened this week would not do any of us any good.  So, I am going to tell you what I am feeling right now.......

I surrender!

I'm in your hands, Lord!

Pop!

Today we were out a birthday party for a boy in our neighborhood.
The kids were sitting down to pizza and pitchers of Coke.

My sweet 1st grader:  This fizzy stuff is good!  What is it?
My 4th grader in disbelief:  POP!

I was CRACKING UP!  Yes....my 6 year old has never had Coca Cola!

The gig is up!

I asked the mother what other horrible things she is going to expose my child too?
Everyone got a good laugh out of it!

And the Little Guy that is still home with me!

Lord, Please look over my girls as they enter this new time.  Please help them to do your work inside the school and in the hearts of those that don't know you.  Thank you for my precious children!

Almost Wordless Wednesday

My Loves were driving me crazy....

It was raining and they were stir crazy.....

I finally yelled, "GO OUTSIDE!"

They were shocked.... Their mother does not let them do such a thing....

But they didn't want me to change my mind, so they jumped at the chance....

To play in the rain!
