We had a very special weekend!

Grandma Lori and Papa Rick came to visit!!

The kids ate them up and they seemed to love it!

Baby girl liked Papa even though he called her a orangutan.
(She has very long toes.)

 He liked her too!

Big Sis turns 10!

She entered the double digit club yesterday!

At lunch time she opened up gifts from her siblings and us.

Last night we took the birthday girl and two friends to Miyabi Steak House for dinner.
SO FUN!!

We had a very funny cook and the girls had a ball dancing while the staff serenaded the birthday girl.

She had a pretty terrific week.
Next up:  She is getting her ears pierced!
Stay tuned.....

8 Weeks!!

Baby Girl is 8 weeks old!
She is much, much happier than she was a few weeks ago.
I'm not sure what changed...but I'm pleased!

Today we went to her Doctor.  The dreaded thrush has entered our lives.
She has it....I have it....
Hopefully we caught it early and it doesn't take over.
Little Man and I spent months passing it back and forth.  Eventually it ended our nursing relationship.  I am praying that this won't be a repeat situation!

But, I did get some fun info to share at the appointment.
Baby Girl weighed in at 8lbs. 12oz. today.
Still just a peanut.

She does bless us with sweet smiles these days.
I have not been able to catch one with the camera.
Hopefully soon!

Camp

Big Sis had a great week at camp!
From the moment that we were led down the wooded path and
I could hear the campers singing worship songs, my eyes filled with tears.
I didn't realize how much I missed her until I laid eyes on her.

We attended the last worship service and it was great.

The place is beautiful!  I want to go to camp there....don't you?

On the way to the camp I spotted a magical little spot off the road.
We stopped there on the way home.

We told the kids they could put their FEET in the water.
(We still had a 90 min. drive and younger kids did not bring a change of clothes.)

I'm not sure why I thought that would work.  Little Man "accidentally"slipped....

That was the end of dry children!

I love little hidden gifts like these!!

She's not so happy...

I have not posted many pics of Baby Girl lately.
One reason is a large portion of her waking hours she looks like this...

and this

and this...

I'm not quite sure what is wrong.  I've never experienced this before.
The last 2 weeks have been very challenging.
It's mostly the mornings that she freaks out.
FOR HOURS....
She is still sleeping great, eating great, and mostly calmer in the evenings.
????????????????????????????????
I'm trying to pay attention to my diet better.  It's just so odd.
Daddy got to experience it for the first time this last weekend.
He kept asking me what was wrong with her.
Apparently in my wore out state I didn't describe her fits to him in enough detail.
He thought she was jut being a little fussy for me.

But, today is a much better day.
I planned on calling the Dr. today but she had a great morning.
Praying that things are getting better.

Little Man led our dinner prayer the other night.  This is what he said...

Dear God,
Please help "baby girl" be happy.  Her crying is driving me crazy!
Amen.

Out of the mouth of babes!

And she's off.....

Big Sis left yesterday for camp.  The picture is of her and her camp counselor.  I still can't believe I let her go.  Furthermore, I can't believe how peaceful I am with it.  She will be there until Friday.  When we signed up she did not have anyone that she knew to go with.  My independent daughter wanted to go on her own.  But....I found out yesterday that she has two other girls in her sleep cabin from our church that she knows.  I was excited that she would have a familiar faces with her.  I'm so excited to see how God works in her this week.  I have a really great feeling about it.!!

A past due post...

For the first two weeks after Baby Girl's birth my mom was here with us.
I truely can't image those first two weeks without her.

Thank you Mom for taking the time away from home and work to care for my family.
I loved having her here!
