Good bye first trimeter....

You are no friend of mine!

I was anxiously awaiting my appointment today.  It's been 5 weeks since I first heard the baby's heartbeat and I was needing some reassurance that this pregnancy is still moving along.  My body is definitely blossoming, but that has happened before and we ended with a DNC.
My symptoms have gotten so much better in the last 2 weeks.
It has been so great to feel like myself again instead of an overwhelmed, nauseous crazy person.
But, that has also led me to feel paranoid.

So, today was the big day!
I left the doctor with a big smile on my face and even did a little happy dance in the elevator.
The baby sounded great.  I am measuring a little bigger than expected.  And...no more progesterone!

Whoo Hoo!!

  1. So happy for you! Especially love the no more progesterone! I have such a love/hate relationship with that stuff. It keeps my babies there in the first trimester but is nasty stuff to me. Always happy to say bye to it! Glad you're feeling well.

  2. yay.yay.yay! good to hear!!! Would you be intrested in getting a group together when you are home for turkey day? Ben included? Was thinking maybe we could all do a Saturday night dinner or meet up for drinks..kiddie cocktail for you? Let me know if you think you would be able to fit it in..Sarah too if she is home, I know it's a hectic time of year but thought if we could swing it, might be fun. I enjoyed the last one! 3. What wonderful news!!!! Super happy for all of you and I am expecially thrilled that the nausea has gone away. I had more than my fair share of that with my babies and although the doctors say it's a good thing, it's no picnic when you have to endure it (especially when you have other children and a house and husband to take care of!) Hugs!
