6 Months Old!!
Baby Girl was all smiles today. She must have known it was her half birthday.
She thought everything was funny.
The kids and I got such a kick out of her.
The last 6 months have really been a trip in our house. It really has been the most stressful time in motherhood that I can remember.
That being said....
I am so stinking happy. I adore my baby girl and her siblings. She was worth the wait and the heartbreak it took getting to this place. The old saying, "God doesn't give you more than you can handle" is not true. If I could handle it all....I wouldn't need Him. I truly believe that the only way we can look up is to be broken down. These last few years I have been broken down.
For that....I am thankful!
Here is her update...
She is still a peanut.
I'm not sure what she weighs but I will know after her appointment next week.
She LOVES her Mommy. She loves her Daddy. Her siblings make her smile.
She doesn't really like other people.
Update...here you go Dad: She did have some happy time with Papa Rick last weekend.
Update...here you go Dad: She did have some happy time with Papa Rick last weekend.
She wants to crawl SO BAD. She is up on all fours...but doesn't know where to go from there.
That is when she doesn't look so happy.
She looks like this...
or this....
But, I can't help but think she is darling even when she is frustrated!
I look forward to the next 6 months. It just keeps getting better each day!

We had the opportunity through Hubby's work to go on another wonderful trip to Canada. This time we were in the Niagara area. We were again blessed with the opportunity to take Baby Girl with us. Hubby's company paid the flight, room, and food for her caregiver. WHAT A BLESSING!! Unfortunately, Baby Girl cried for about 6 hours b/c she doesn't appreciate the time away from me. Luckily, the sitter was a very patient girl.
These trips away with Baby Girl have been a gift to me.
When we are at home the craziness prevents me from having the one on one time with her that I would like. These trips have made those special times possible.
We enjoyed the sights, food and wine.
That was my first real wine tasting experience and it was sooooo fun!
Here is a pic with Hubby's boss. He is such a Great Christian Man! Not only has he recognized the needs of our family and helped us out (example: being able to take my nursing baby on these trips), he is also a spiritual leader. I hear in the corporate world that is not always the case :) My husband is a better man for working under him!
There were roses on our pillows each night when we returned to our room.
Good Times!!

We escaped...
Just for the day......
And it was a really wonderful day!
It was just Mommy, Daddy, and Baby Girl.
We headed to the Southern Living Taste of Charleston.
Where do I start.....
First off, I LOVE Charleston!!!!!
It's just so beautiful!
And I LOVE the food in Charleston!!
Fried Green Tomatoes, local seafood, BBQ.....and more!
It was just plain fun!
And I had the best company!
We will be back next year!!

I'm not the best gift giver....
But this year I did really good!
I stole this idea from a friend in IL.
We went to one of those "paint your own pottery" places.
You can only imagine how fun that was.
My little man in a place dedicated to things that break.
We made it out without much damage.
I was thrilled with the results.
Daddy got a new grill plate for his birthday and he LOVES IT!
