Funny story. Like I would NEVER drive a minivan.....I also would NEVER get a video gaming system in my home. Darn those NEVER things. (I have to admit there are some selfish intentions behind it. Our DVD player poo pood out and we are strongly considering getting rid of our Dish Network. With the Wii we can play DVDs and get programming through Netflix. I felt like this was a great option for us.) No matter the intention....she was THRILLED!
After church we went to lunch with our friends. We went to a newer mexican restaurant. They brought birthday dessert for everyone and we sang Happy Birthday. She was so tickled.
Her birthday party started around 3. There were only a few girls here....but it was exactly what my 9 year old wanted.
We went to the pool.....
Had birthday cake......obviously I didn't make this one. Isn't it cool!
The girls were pampered with a little make-up, nail and toe polish.
(Thanks to Denise and Kirsten for helping me out!!)
And they had a ball performing Cinderella. They were a hoot!
I can't say that getting them to sleep was my favorite part. I'm usually pretty strict about bedtime. It was the first time that I told children that they needed go to sleep, and the response was bowel noises and giggles. But...I survived!
