The last few weeks.....

These last 3 weeks have been wonderful and exhausting.  We have played in the ocean, peddled for miles, rode carnival rides, drove over 1,000 miles, went boating, swam in several different pools, visited with family, partied with friends, and enjoyed a good ol' slip and slide.  And more.....

Okay, so now I see why I am so pooped.

Here are some highlights......

Hilton Head with the Family...

Okay, this next picture is not actually a highlight...we found ourselves at a dead end after several miles of biking.  We were told the only way back into our resort was to turn around and bike several miles back.  (Did I mention that it was over a hundred degrees with the heat index?)  (Did I also mention that we were at the back gates of our resort when we were told to turn around?)  It was then discovered that with a little trespassing we could take a beach route and only have a few blocks to go.  Miles of biking with 6 children or 2 blocks on the beach.....we took the beach route.  (Which was not easy or fun....but we made it back.)

Now let the beach fun begin!

Fun out on the town....

Uncle M decided to treat himself to a pot full of seafood.
He was the entertainment that night!

Then the children entertained themselves with the remains.

Cousin Time is the BEST!

And finished our stay with Cousin E's birthday celebration!

Then we were off to Illinois.  Shortly after arriving we headed to Dixon for some fun with our dearly missed friends!

Dixon is my happy place!  I feel at home there.
We had a great time with some of our favorite people.
And the food.....so much yummy food....
Check out the size of the pizza....it was HUGE!

My husband fell in love with this next little girl.
We are in the process of accepting that our family is complete....
(meaning no more babies)
then this little Cutey Pie comes on the scene.
I even said out loud, "TAKE THE BABY AWAY FROM MY HUSBAND!"
She was just precious!  Her smile was so contagious.

Here she is with her daddy.

Now....off to the carnival!

We were so happy to be able to attend a very special and traditional
4th of July party with many of our friends.
Here are a couple of pics...
The party was on the side of a cliff....so my mind was on Jonah and not taking pictures.
I'm bummed that I didn't get more pics.

Now, back to Galesburg for more fun.
We start off boating with the fam...
NO FEAR!!

Then Fireworks on the Farm...

I'm going to take a break....check back in a few days....there is more to come!
